The Company of Astrologers was founded as a teaching body in 1983. It is the home of astrology as divination and seeks to establish a modern craft-based discipline of traditional astrology that acknowledges insights from philosophy and psychotherapy, as well as revisioning horoscopy in the light of divination. It runs a range of astrology courses and seminars, mainly London-based, plus study programmes in other forms of divination. It also offers the Katarche distance learning course in horary astrology.

Its Policy Meeting members are Pat Blackett, Geoffrey Cornelius, Maggie Hyde, Graeme Tobyn, Joanna Watters and Vernon Wells.
